Although I use LinkedIn, the reason I didn't include it among my top 10 social media sites is that I don't see the conversations happening there. Social media is about people having a conversation online. On LinkedIn, a vast majority of people just go to the site to post and update their resume or to look up other people's resumes. For me, it comes in at number 11 or 12.

Steve,

As a healthcare executive, former hospital & health system CEO, eHealth company CEO during the past 25+ years I appreciate your efforts.

However, I would assert Linked In is more than just a resume posting web site. For me (I have been a member when less than 20K (2003) were members now 40 Million) Linked In is indeed part of the social media domain with their groups, Q&A, sharing connections and professional and "social" interactions among members.

Keep up your innovations and cutting edge thinking!
